“Don’t Look Them In The Eyes”
A tuxedo cat practices gaze diversion. Texts include “divert gaze, lest you feel weird!”
Local cats are reporting suspicious feelings. Just in general. Historically, October winds bring feelings of grandiosity and infallibility (especially for our black-coated neighbors) balanced with an ominous sense of being watched. Peach, Taylor Street sweetheart, asked us, “Was I forewarned recently? Or was it foretold?” We inquired, “Girl, what?” “I don’t know, like isn’t there a sense that evil is afoot?” Kobe Beef offered his opinion on the shared paranoia: “It’s the crows. Guaranteed. This time of year they start doing some Old Magic and we’ve still got some intuition in our gut that’s telling us that something is off. Stay diligent and don’t look them in the eyes.”
