An Excerpt From Tiddy’s Letter to the Editor (January 2026)

My name is Tiddy. Yes. That Tiddy. I am writing today with a heavy heart, a slightly twitchy tail, and absolutely no understanding of how I was not nominated for Best of 2025. Frankly, I assumed the nomination had been lost under the couch with the dust bunnies. However, after further investigation (staring at the wall, licking myself, and receiving a little love from my sister), it appears this may not have been an intentional oversight.

We are dreadfully sorry that you did not appear in our Best of 2025 issue—humans are distracted and forgetful beasts, but they make up for it with their servility. We should have sensed that the nominees were missing a certain je ne sais quoi; of course, you would have shined among them. We hope that this portrait of you in your trendy sweater makes up for the oversight.
